The Light Station is maintained and operated by the New Dungeness Light Station Association, whose vision is that "The New Dungeness Light Station will be the finest example of historic restoration, preservation and interpretation in the Nation". Membership in the association furthers the mission of the preservation, restoration, and interpretation of the site. Members are eligible to become Keepers.

The New Dungeness Light Station is open to the public. Tours of the Lighthouse are available every day, free of charge. Be sure to check the Tide Tables for the local Dungeness Bay area before attempting the walk out to the Lighthouse!

Sailing Schooner ZODIAC Lighthouse Tours
The sailing vessel ZODIAC has scheduled a special "Northwest Lighthouse
Tour" for this summer. The trip is June 21 - 24 and the ship will sail
past many lighthouses in the San Juan Islands, with an actual stop at
New Dungeness where you can come ashore for a tour! The tour company
donates a portion of the fare to NDLSA.

We have recently discovered a video compilation of news reports from the July, 1999 fire on Dungeness Spit that threatened to destroy the Lighthouse. This 17 minute video has been converted to digital format and uploaded on the PHOTO GALLERY page. Thanks to Andre and Patti Kamber, Keepers on the scene that day, for this video.
